Honesty

So this morning, I am doing Allyson's hair and I think to myself that something is not right. Then I remember that yesterday when I had her hair pulled up it didn't look right either, lots of pieces falling out and just wasn't working like it should. So this is the conversation that followed my thoughts:

Me: "Allyson did you cut your hair?"
Allyson: "yep."
Me: "You did!?"
Allyson: "yep."
Me: "With scissors?"
Allyson: "yep!"

I have no idea when that happened but at least she tells the truth, right? That just makes me so happy - she does not have that much hair to begin with. Why do children always go for the hair? I can think of a lot of other things to take scissors to - why the hair?

I have the same kind of conversations with Brennan and every time I just tell myself, "Don't choke him, at least he's being honest." :)
