Home Sweet Home

A couple of weeks ago on the way home from town, Allyson asked, "Daddy are you taking me home." Jacob told her yes but she kept asking every once in awhile if we were going to be home soon. We really didn't think much of it dismissing it as typically toddler car antics.  But when we got home she said so sweetly, "Daddy thank you for getting me home."  We laughed because it was so funny the way she said it, like we had been gone for so long and she never thought we would get there and we were only gone for the day.

Then last Friday we planned to go to Tucson spend the day and stay the night in  a hotel.  I told her as I was packing that we were going to stay in the hotel and she was very concerned but I thought it was because she thought we were going there first and she wanted to pick up her cousin first and see the butterfly's (which was why we were going and she was very excited). So we finally  get to our hotel that night and get settled down for bed and out of the blue she says very sad, "I don't want to be here at the hotel I want to go home." The next day, Saturday, she was very concerned about when we were going home and then last night she was laying in bed with us and said, " I am so glad I am at home and not at a hotel!"

She apparently is a little home body and gets homesick very easily.  So opposite of Kylie who loved traveling and  loved hotels when she was little and still does.  When Kylie was Allysons age and we were out and about she would ask all the time if we were going to stay in a hotel that night. Such opposites those two!
